Modern Luxury’s CS Magazine recently revealed its editor’s picks for the publication’s annual Best of the City Awards, with a major LG Group hospitality project celebrated as Chicago’s finest in 2025.
The prestigious list — which serves as the ultimate guide to luxury living in Chicago — features the new West Loop fixture, Maxwells Trading, as the city’s Best New Restaurant. The buzzed-about establishment from Chef Partner Erling Wu-Bower and Josh Tilden of Underscore Hospitality was part of LG Builders’ 1516 W Carroll Ave adaptive reuse expansion project, in partnership with Tracy Boychuk and her company, The Roof Crop.
Additionally, the Fulton Market neighborhood, which is home to Maxwells Trading and numerous other high-profile LG Group hospitality projects including Girl & The Goat, BLVD, Rose Mary, and Momotaro, was named the city’s Best Dining District.
