Brian GoldbergFounder & Chief Executive Officer
Brian is the founder and CEO of LG Group and has spent the last 17 years developing over $2 billion in high-end residential and commercial projects. His expertise has grown to include a multitude of project types over several different asset classes, consistently focusing on high design and cutting-edge technology. His relentless pursuit of the highest level of quality and service has led LG to become a top tier, vertically integrated platform that today includes development, construction, asset management, leasing, and interior design.
Brian is most proud of LG’s work with several local hiring programs in the community to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Brian is also involved in several local charities benefiting Chicago’s disadvantaged youth (Camp Out for Kids), homeless (Back on My Feet) veterans (Herban Produce), and various mental health (Pariah Foundation & Tourette Association of America) as well as the YWCA and JUF.
Brian graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in General Engineering, as well as an MBA. Brian lives in Lincoln Park with his beloved wife of 14 years, two incredible daughters, and two mischievous dogs. In his spare time, Brian loves to stay active with golf, tennis, and fishing.

Matt WilkeChief Operations Officer & Partner
With nearly 20 years’ experience working in the development and construction industry, Matt blends his leadership, energy, entrepreneurship, and team building acumen with a healthy balance of micro and macro management across all businesses under the LG Group umbrella to create lasting value for the company and clients we serve.
As COO, Matt is constantly pushing and challenging his teams. His oversight of all company operations, including all phases of the development process, ensures exceptional output while maintaining unparalleled culture and opportunity. Externally, Matt connects with clients, partners, architects, and investors to ensure LG delivers for all involved.
Matt grew up in Naperville, Illinois and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management. If not enjoying his home in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago with his wife and three young children, Matt can be found enjoying the outdoors, often skiing, golfing, hiking, or fishing in Sawyer, Michigan and Big Sky, Montana.

Jennifer AlbertChief Financial Officer & Partner
Prior to joining LG, Jennifer spent over 12 years in public accounting, working in audit, tax, and consulting focused primarily on construction and real estate clients.
As a team focused problem solver, her responsibilities include overseeing the financial management of LG Group, including tax reporting and closing the capital stack of developments. Jennifer plays a critical role in fostering the external relationships with lenders, attorneys, investors, and insurance brokers that have led to LG Group’s growth and success.
Jennifer attended Bradley University, is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Construction Industry Finance Professional, and a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the AIPCA, CFMA and CREW.

Alex DyerPresident of Operations
Since joining LG Construction in 2012, Alex has been instrumental in developing the structure and processes that have streamlined the project management approach at LG. He is known for fostering a collaborative environment both within the company and with external teams allowing for everyone’s voice to be heard while finding the best solution for each project.
As President of Operations, Alex is involved in all aspects of our construction projects, providing oversight and management throughout each phase of the build. Alex has always focused on the people we work with and the experiences each person has on our projects. With this approach, he has developed lasting relationships critical to the company’s success and growth.
Alex grew up in Omaha, NE and went to the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Civil Engineering. He lives in Chicago’s River North neighborhood with his wife and daughter.

Kirk BacastowVice President of Construction
Kirk joined LG Construction in 2014 as a project manager with a focus on LG’s hospitality projects, and is proud to have led the successful completion of many of the best restaurants in Chicago. As Vice President, he now oversees a team focused on commercial construction which he has helped to expand into new markets including large-scale multi-family, adaptive reuse, retail, and national franchise build-outs. Kirk’s focus is always on nurturing strong client relationships and promoting creative problem solving within his team.
As Vice President, Kirk plays a significant role in working with clients early in the process, identifying the client’s key value components and guiding the project through the design and budgeting process, while identifying and mitigating potential risks. Once under construction, Kirk provides oversight to ensure key schedule milestones are met and the budget is maintained.
Growing up in Columbus Ohio, Kirk double majored in Economics and Finance at Miami University and received a Master’s in Project Management from Northwestern University. Kirk enjoys all the outdoors has to offer and especially enjoys walks around his neighborhood of West Town with his wife and two children.

Sheila UrbanDirector of Strategic Growth
SHEILA URBAN
Sheila is the Director of Strategic Growth for LG Commercial and is responsible for driving profit and revenue for the national construction operations. Widely recognized for her strategic foresight, she plays a pivotal role in steering the company towards sustainable, long-term growth. Sheila brings dynamic and diversified leadership to the team with a multifaceted background encompassing real estate development, construction management, general contracting, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Prior to her tenure at LG, she founded SHEcon, where she notably served as a diversity manager on prestigious projects such as 167 N Green St and 525 W Monroe in Chicago. She is known for bringing diverse teams to complex projects and promoting construction best practices for diversity, equity and inclusion programs for the commercial real estate industry.
Sheila has her MBA in Real Estate and Finance from DePaul University and did her undergrad studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As an alumna and proud supporter of the Goldie Initiative, she champions this organization’s mission of empowering female leaders within the industry.

Ryan BuchmeierSenior Manager, LG Advantage
Ryan Buchmeier’s current role is the Project Manager for LGA, a growing division within the LG Group focusing on. Client interactions, proposals, budgets, Scheduling, Sub contract awards. Ryan’s focus has been in commercial and hospitality projects allowing him to complete some truly unique projects across Chicago.
Ryan grew up in Beecher, Illinois. After college he partnered with his father and mentor to create a General Contracting and Carpentry company where he spent the next 12 years gaining an extensive background in the residential and commercial construction industry. He currently lives in Oak Park with his wife, son and yellow lab.

Andrew HoppeProject Executive
Andrew brings 19 years of commercial construction experience to the company with a background in Tenant Improvement and renovation projects both in Chicago and Nationally. He supports the growth of the company’s commercial construction group in and outside of Chicago, with a focus on office retail interiors by leading business development, pre-construction planning, and project execution.
Andrew has lived in and around Chicago for 21 years and working in the construction industry for 27 years, beginning in high school framing single family homes in Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Business Administration. His education and love for being involved in building something tangible and special brought him to Chicago to pursue a career in commercial construction. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing golf and doing just about anything with his wife and two children.

Stephanie LitzaSenior Project Manager
Stephanie joined LG Construction in 2013 to pursue a career in the construction industry. Drawing from her background in Architecture, she thrives when working on projects with intricate designs and loves diving into the details keeping the project and the team around her one step ahead. Her favorite part about her job is when she finds that rare moment when the right design, the right method, and the right value come together within the final product.
Stephanie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and received her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. She is passionate about old films and loves peppering in movie (and Seinfeld) quotes into everyday conversation. When not at work, she spends her time learning new recipes, attending food and wine festivals in Chicago, or checking out a baseball game (Go Sox!).

Darcie McLoughlinController
Darcie spent over 12 years in public accounting, working in audit, tax, and consulting focused primarily on construction and real estate before joining LG in 2020.
As Controller, Darcie is involved in overseeing all aspects of the accounting department. She has been instrumental in streamlining processes and improving efficiencies throughout the department. Darcie utilizes interpersonal communication skills to analyze and report financial data timely to the company and third parties.
Darcie grew up in central Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Masters of Accounting Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the AIPCA, and the CFMA.

Conor PooreSenior Superintendent
Conor has worked in the construction industry for nine years and joined LG as a Site Superintendent in 2015. He took a brief hiatus in 2020 to explore the Development side of the industry but quickly realized that his heart is with Construction. In June of 2021, he rejoined the team as a Project Manager and feels that his experience in Development has helped expand his knowledge of the industry and plans to apply that to each project he encounters.
As Senior Project Manager, with history as a Site Superintendent and Development Project Manager, Conor brings multiple hats to the table. He has managed all types of construction projects including hospitality, multi-family residential, adaptive reuse, commercial and corporate interiors. He takes pride in developing strong relationships with team members, subcontractors and most importantly clients on each project.
Conor enjoys playing golf in his free time but most of all going on adventures with his wife and son.

Luke RobertsCreative Director
As Creative Director at LG Group, Luke works directly with the Marketing and Design teams to guide company and project-based branding as well as design for in-house LG Development projects.
Luke started his career in the construction industry, working in project management after a brief stint in culinary school. Luke has always been drawn to the hospitality world and found an alternate space within it with his work focused on boutique restaurant and commercial build outs in Chicago, and this close collaboration with architects and designers on highly detailed spaces, gave Luke a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver on the client’s goals around vision and brand.
In 2019, he moved to Los Angeles to take the role of Design Project Manager for Soho House. This change in geography, as well as a shift to the client side of a large hotel brand was invaluable exposure that carries through his work today.
Returning to Chicago and LG Group in 2021, Luke’s role as Creative Director provides a space for his experiences to merge and weave throughout the company. Luke’s work is driven by a strong appreciation of design as a problem-solving tool, as well as a method for improving the connections between people and the spaces in which they live, work, and play. Luke received his BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Champaign.

Kassie ChapelDirector of People & Culture
Kassie is a seasoned professional with a diverse background that spans continents and industries. Hailing originally from Phoenix, AZ, and Savannah, GA, Kassie’s journey has taken her through various academic pursuits and career endeavors, each adding layers to her expertise and passion for fostering organizational excellence throughout the last 15 years.
Kassie’s professional trajectory led her across the globe, spending nine transformative years abroad first in Provence, France and then in Hong Kong. Immersed in the vibrant academic communities of the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) locations in France and Hong Kong, Kassie played a pivotal role in enhancing student engagement and fostering career success.
Kassie embarked on a new chapter in corporate learning and development, assuming the mantle of Regional Learning Administration Manager for GP Strategies and Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC). In this capacity, she oversaw learning and development operations for the Asia Pacific region. Relocating stateside in 2023, Kassie found herself drawn to the dynamic city of Chicago, another new city to explore and thrive in, as she navigated finding the next step in her career story.
Joining LG Group in 2024 as the People & Culture Director, Kassie spearheads initiatives aimed at attracting, nurturing, and retaining top talent while cultivating a workplace culture that fosters innovation and collaboration. Collaborating closely with the Executive Team and Management, she serves as the linchpin for all aspects of Human Resources Administration, People Development, Culture, and Team Building, leveraging her strategic acumen to drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. With a keen eye for talent and a strategic mindset, she navigates the complexities of human capital management with finesse, forging strong relationships and championing initiatives that elevate LG Group as a premier employer. Kassie’s approach is characterized by her unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where every team member can thrive and contribute their best work.

Brent SchrieferSenior Superintendent
Brent is the on-site supervisor who is ultimately responsible for creating a safe work environment for optimal progress. He is responsible for maintaining and updating the project schedule as needed, coordinating inter-trade work through the length of the project, keeping inventories of all site material, ensuring that all local and national codes are met by each trade, and providing on site value engineering, trouble shooting, and quality control. He’s also communicates with ownership and provides direction to the sub-contractors based on the client’s needs.
