April 24, 2025 — The recently completed LG Builders hospitality project, il Carciofo — a new West Loop Roman Italian restaurant concept from famed Top Chef winner, Joe Flamm — has received prestigious international acclaim within six months of opening its doors.
The restaurant has been named to Condé Nast Traveler’s “2025 Hot List: Best New Restaurants in the World,” which recognizes the editors’ top selections for the year’s best new dining destinations across the globe.
One of only eight stateside restaurants included in the ranking, Condé Nast Traveler editors highlighted a range of the establishment’s authentic Italian menu items as reasons to visit, from carciofo alla giudia to rigatoni all’amatriciana made with pasta from a special on-site lab.
They also observed that “Flamm runs the show and doles out Roman pizzas from an open kitchen, though the food isn’t the only draw. An all-Italian wine list and amaro cocktails from beverage director Kyle Davidson are worth exploring.”
LG Builders previously collaborated with Chef Flamm and Day Off Group on il Carciofo’s sibling Fulton Market restaurant, Rose Mary, which opened its doors in 2021.
