Modern Living Takes Center Stage At Hugo River North

The Product of an Integrated Development Process

River North is about to get a stylish addition as it welcomes its latest residences to the neighborhood– a brand new, 227-unit dual-building apartment complex that looks to enhance urban living along Chicago Avenue. Hugo, a project by LG Group, is a great example of the efficiency the “one-stop-shop” firm can bring to a project.

“The integration of our Development, Construction, and Design teams under one roof, with a strong emphasis on pre-construction planning, made a huge impact on the project’s success. It goes beyond how closely the team is able to collaborate during each phase of the project and becomes a shift in mentality and approach for each team member that results from the influence each of our different companies have on one another.” says CEO Brian Goldberg.

“By working so closely together, we end up with a more comprehensive team that inherently understands what each group within the team needs to make the project successful.”

Combining a bright modern design, amenities focused on convenience, and a prime location on Chicago Avenue, Hugo brings a fresh take on apartment living to the neighborhood. Each building will be equipped with state-of-the-art fitness centers, dog runs, multiple 2nd floor level terraces that include a pool, grilling areas, and fire pits, and rooftop terraces with breathtaking views of downtown, to name a few. Responding to the shift in the way people live and work today, the buildings also feature work from home amenities with conference rooms and coworking lounge spaces.

“When creating Hugo’s design, we knew we wanted the amenities and offerings to be as accommodating and exciting as the location. We’ll have 24-hour staff and each resident will be able to using a building specific app that allows them to do everything from fobbing into their unit to scheduling dry cleaning or a dog walker,” says Brian. “The cohesive feel of the buildings and the seamless integration of amenities and technology is a reflection of how our team works together.”

“As far as building amenities, we are most excited about the outdoor pool and adjacent lounge area located at the Hugo on Hudson building. Early feedback has shown tenants are thrilled to have an abundance of outdoor space.” adds LG’s Director of Asset Management, Zach Ktsanes “Numerous groups have mentioned their excitement to work from home, especially if that ends up being poolside.”

Hugo’s name comes from a combination of the project’s cross streets, Hudson and Chicago, paying homage to the neighborhood and all of it’s offerings. With a Walk Score of 97, residents can explore the city on foot, with world-class restaurants, boutique shops, and art galleries just steps away.

“We are excited about this location and believe in the River North neighborhood after recently moving our headquarters to the area just blocks from this project. At a time when general sentiment around downtown Chicago is low, we feel it is important to fully invest ourselves into the city we are building in.”

Hugo will be delivering in October of 2023. See more information on leasing opportunities at hugorivernorth.com
